WEIRD & WILD: Tricked out toilet seats!

Forget free magazines, then. DIY Network is getting to the bottom of life itself.

"In support of Toilet Bowl IV, DIY Network's companion website, DIYNetwork.com, is giving away 30 tricked-out toilet seats to readers of their blog starting Thursday, Jan. 27."

I mean, really. Where to begin?

The press release hypes DIY's annual Super Bowl counterprogramming block of bathroom renovation shows, which runs this year on Sunday, Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to midnight ET -- Bathtastic, Bath Crashers, 10 Killer Bathroom Projects and my personal fave, America's Ugliest Bathrooms.

"Now through Monday, Feb. 7, visitors to DIYNetwork.com's blog, The Pegboard, can enter for a chance to win one of 30 Bemis toilet seats featuring the latest in installation and maintenance technology. Winners will be chosen at random among those who visit http://blog.diynetwork.com/tool-tips/ and post a reply in the comments section under the Toilet Bowl post."

And you're still reading this blog?

Oh, one more thing.

"Keep your post clean -- no potty language please."

Truly, the free magazine item was cool, but this is much Kohler.

[Diane here: We try to live up to the American Standard. Thanks for noticing.]

We should stop. Your readers will surely be Moening, if we continue.

[Diane here: Yes, you've Delta crushing blow to my efforts.]

Agreed: We'll put a lid on it. (Anyway, I'm flushed and need to sit down. . . )

(Aren't you glad Bianculli isn't participating in this pun throwdown?)

[Diane here: You betcha! Bianculli is king of the pun. Or should we call him our porcelain god?]

I know it's late, but can I plunge in here? Any chance those Scrubbing Bubbles guys will get their own super hero series, handing out grime and punishment in a single pass? I understand the possibility of the series showing up on the Cartoon Network went down the drain. I would Bemis if I didn't ask.

[Diane here: Ouch!]

Tricked out toilet seats? That's something I haven't heard about ever before. While I did have the question on the Most hygienic way to clean toilet, I guess the more important question is what these tricked out seats represent. That's something I'm most curious about.
