THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS
December 27, 2016  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

CBS, 9:00 p.m. ET

One of my favorite TV shows of the year, this special never disappoints, and always instructs. Tonight’s honorees, as always taken from the widest swath of show business, are Al Pacino, the Eagles, Martha Argerich, Mavis Staples and James Taylor. If you’re in for inspiration, and some wonderful music and comedy, this is the place. For a full review, see Ed Bark's Uncle Barky's Bytes.

Mark Isenberg
Awful production by the White Cherry Entertainment gurus of NYC for the CBS Broadcast. Snippets of James Taylor songs done by Crow,Rucker and some guy in a cowboy hat. Stephen Colbert was less than funny aside from being respectful to the President. An absurd Al Pacino segment with limited Godfather clips. The Eagles should have had their own two hour honor instead of crimping James Taylor. New producers needed and thanks Gayle King for strategic idiot placement in the Presidential Box. Imagine the future fun when President Trump presides?
