This 1963 Alfred Hitchcock thriller is one of his true classics. Watch the movie, then read, or watch, Hitchcock/Truffaut, for a wonderful dissection of the film’s key set pieces. The book Hitchcock/Truffaut, in which Hitchcock was interviewed in depth about each of his movies by fellow filmmaker and former film critic Francois Truffaut, came out in 1966, and made me want to become a critic. The movie version of Hitchcock/Truffaut came out in 2015, and is so good, I can’t get it out of my TiVo stash.
