MIDSEASON RETURN: In the finale to the first half of the season, before taking an extended break, The Walking Dead reunited several characters who had been separated by various plot factions, villains, and circumstance. These included Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne (Danai Gurira), and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) – though a few other familiar characters failed to make it through the episode alive. But now, as the midseason premiere arrives, so does a determination for the survivors to plot to confront and defeat the tyrannical Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
