Speaking of John Ridley and American Crime: promos for tonight’s episode promise something truly unsettling and memorable for a prime-time TV series. And since American Crime, this season as always, has been compelling on a weekly basis already (Felicity Huffman, this year, has been especially captivating), the promo’s promise is intriguing bait indeed.

I recall the first season being good and harrowing but this new season has been a major letdown with a young teen confronting another young teen and parents who are fairly dysfunctional and a sideplot about the housekeeper. It should just go away despite good actors.
