This documentary series has seemed even more grim, if that were possible, now that the weight of the recent Las Vegas massacre has been added to the litany of mass shooting deaths. Tonight’s subject is from 2015, and is about the racially motivated shooting at Emanuel AME Church in South Carolina, which left nine black parishioners dead – and ignited a dialogue, about Confederate flags and other Civil War symbols and statues, that continues today.
