IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN
October 29, 2017  | By David Bianculli

Want to watch an animated TV special that’s now 51 years old? You should – because this Charles Schulz Halloween special, from 1966, is a close second to his other holiday Peanuts classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Both shows, at their heart, are about the purity and power of belief. And even All Hallows Eve’s non-believers and non-participants, and hey, even atheists, should be able to embrace that.
