MINISERIES PREMIERE: This is a new 10-part Hulu miniseries, based on the account by Lawrence Wright in his Pulitzer Prize-winning book The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11. Jeff Daniels and Peter Sarsgaard star as lead terrorist investigators for, respectively, the FBI and CIA, and this drama tells of their long and sometimes conflicting methods of tracing and apprehending the terrorist groups planning one attack after another against U.S. and other properties, eventually resulting in the infamous attack on 9/11. There’s something missing in the retelling, which seems to go through the motions with more concern for accuracy than subtlety – but it’s a true story good enough to hold your interest regardless.
