SERIES FINALE: This episode was intended as the season finale, with the high schoolers finally presenting their controversial but inspirational student production of Spring Awakening. But NBC, which just announced its fall 2018 schedule, has cancelled Rise, so this serves as the show’s very last episode. This was among my favorite shows this season. The acting and plot lines were very fine and the acting excellent. It showed characters being responsible for their actions and the complications of making decisions. ( These are qualities lacking in our national leadership.) I'm sad that it is over.
