SERIES PREMIERE: If you saw the 2014 comedy vampire film of the same name, you know what to expect here. Otherwise, you’re in for a delightful surprise. The movie starred, and was written and directed by, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, who played vampires in New Zealand tolerating each other, barely, while living the undead life in modern-day Wellington. For the series, there are new stars, and a new locale – Staten Island – but the faux documentary approach is just as funny.
