INDEPENDENT LENS: “MARCOS DOESN’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE”
April 15, 2019  | By David Bianculli  | 2 comments

PBS, 10:00 p.m. ET

David Sutherland, the filmmaker behind PBS’s The Farmer’s Wife, is behind this similarly small-scale look at a national problem, showing how sweeping policies strongly impact individual people. It’s a co-production with Frontline and Voces, and follows Elisabeth Perez, a decorated U.S. Marine veteran living in Cleveland, struggling to reunite her family after her undocumented husband, Marcos, gets deported, and lives in Mexico, apart from the rest of his family. Check local listings.
