The news that Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster will star in a new Broadway revival of this musical at the end of 2020 is reason enough to revisit this 1962 film version, which starred Robert Preston and Shirley Jones. The movie’s two leads were superb – and I expect no less, and maybe even more, from Jackman and Foster.
