2019 STANLEY CUP FINALS
June 6, 2019  | By David Bianculli

NBC, 8:00 p.m. ET

Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara left Monday’s Game 4 early, after being smacked in the face with a deflected puck, and never got back on the ice. Boston lost the game, the St. Louis Blues tied the series at 2-2, and tonight is Game 5. Chara’s status, as of this morning, remains uncertain. The team is saying officially only that the Bruins defenseman suffered a “facial injury,” but reports are circulating that the blow from the errant puck was forceful enough to have broken his jaw.
