SEASON PREMIERE: Michael Schur’s
The Good Place ended last Thursday – superbly – but NBC isn’t depriving us of him completely on Thursday nights. Tonight,
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which Schur co-created with Daniel J. Goor, presents its Season 7 premiere on NBC. And it returns with a slight shakeup: Captain Holt, played to dry perfection by Andre Braugher, is back on the street, demoted from captain to patrolman. The last time Braugher played a cop on the streets, he was a detective on
Homicide: Life on the Street. And not nearly as funny… because at the time, he was among the greatest dramatic actors on TV.
