This 1976 movie, written by Paddy Chayefsky and starring Peter Finch, Faye Dunaway and William Holden, is an utterly brilliant satire of network TV in the mid-1970s. It’s also so prescient about what was to come, from a successful fourth network to corporate purchases of networks and the demand for news divisions to show profits.
