You may have just seen Alicia Witt as the very determined woman who captured and threatened some of our Walking Dead heroes. She gave an excellent performance, but her role didn’t last long – which I guess, freed her up to go to Nashville and play country star Autumn Chase. Tonight, Autumn invites Maddie and Cash to go on the road with her.

Well, the Jennings family didn’t get to go to Disney World last week – but Elizabeth and Phillip didn’t die from that Soviet biological weapon sample, either, so that’s a plus. But it did upset the status quo at home – and tonight, that status quo is challenged at yet another home, as Phillip has yet another rocky patch with his “other wife,” Martha.

The Last Panthers is what Americans used to call a foreign film, only now it should probably be called foreign TV. It’s a six-hour closed-end series about a French jewel robbery whose epicenter quickly shifts to the murky backstreets of Serbia...

They’ve changed the format and rules on this show so much, I didn’t know until watching last night’s first outing in the playoff round that it would be the cycle’s first live show. But it was, and tonight is the second. (On Wednesday’s show, we learn who moves on to the final 12.) I still can’t put my finger on why this year’s The Voice seems so much more rewarding in general – and I think, after yesterday, it’s come down to the talent. What

SEASON FINALE: This show, like Quantum Leap, has found ways to turn its gimmick into a long ride, by finding new personalities for Liv (Rose McIver) to embody temporarily. Tonight the season ends with a double feature, and I don’t expect iZombie to exit quietly.

This series continues to be good enough to keep me watching, surprising enough to keep me intrigued, but, so far, so caught up in its lengthy back-from-the-ashes S.H.I.E.L.D. story – and back-from-the-ashes villain as well – that I wish they’d just turn the (comic-book) page and move on. Maybe tonight’s the night.

MINISERIES CONCLUSION: Part 2 of 2. The first part of this latest documentary profile from the Ken Burns family (and this time that description is literal, because his primary collaborators are his daughter and his son-in-law) was all about Jackie Robinson in restraint mode, breaking the color barrier without reacting to the many insults and indignities thrown his way. Tonight, he reacts, in ways that are no less impressive. Check local listings.

It’s been a while since there’s been a first-run episode of this series, which is one of the new sleepers, and few good new shows, from the 2015 fall crop. And tonight’s episode gives more screen time to William Devane as the boys’ law-firm patriarch, which I’ve been waiting to see.

NBC’s last new series of the season from a slate announced last May has been worth waiting for if it in fact survives beyond Season 1. Otherwise you’ll be strung along and then left hanging by Game of Silence...

I will watch any show with Natalie Zea in it. Any time, any place, anywhere. TBS’s new sitcom The Detour, which premieres Monday at 9 p.m. ET, makes that resolve a little harder to maintain...
