SERIES PREMIERE: It’s a premiere in the U.S., anyway. In the U.K., this period series, inspired by the classic Frankenstein tale, premiered in 2015, and presented two six-episode seasons – both of which are available, beginning today, on Netflix. Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, stars as John Marlott, an inspector in 19th-century London who investigates a case of children’s bodies found floating in the river, minus various body parts.

On NBC, there’s scheduled live coverage of three major, or at least majorly popular, Winter Olympics events, in the 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET block. There’s the downhill gold medal final in women’s alpine skiing, the ladies’ short program in figure skating, and the big air competition in men’s snowboarding – a sport which already has resulted in one broken neck at this year’s games.

Today is the golden anniversary of the premiere of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood on public television. All manner of tributes are on the way, from film and book biographies and a PBS special to a U.S. Fred Rogers postage stamp (pictured), but even the PBS KIDS network is holding its televised week-long Fred Rogers salute to next week. Today, though, there are a few places you can go to honor one of the best children’s shows, and hosts, in TV history. One is to travel to Latrobe, PA, wh
