Dolores Hart was 19 in 1957, when she starred opposite Elvis Presley in Loving You. As we learn in this charming profile by Rebecca Camissa, it was Hart’s first screen kiss. His, too. Yet after appearing in a string of iconic Sixties youth movies, including Where the Boys Are and Come Fly with Me, Hart retreated to a community of Benedictine nuns in Connecticut – and never left. Now 73, Hart looks back on her short career in Hollywood, and her much longer one devoting herself to God.

Kevin Clash is the man behind Elmo – and the voice, as well as the arm inside him. This profile lets us know the puppeteer who brings the beloved Muppet to life, in such a magical way that even when Clash is included in the camera shot, all eyes – yours as well as those with whom he’s interacting – are on Elmo.

Nuns are all right by me...So that's the context of this review of "God Is The Bigger Elvis," the Oscar-nominated short documentary film charting the transformation of Dolores Hart from movie star to the current Mother Prioress in Bethlehem, Connecticut...

Along comes ABC's "Scandal," another aggravatingly imperfect melodrama from "Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice" creator Shonda Rhimes...with the key characters tending to speed-talk as though they're all in a Go-Kart race...

The 71st Annual Peabody Awards committee announced their latest awards Wednesday, and among those recognized were Showtime's "Homeland," HBO's "Game of Thrones," and IFC's "Portlandia." Also nabbing highly prized Peabody's for 2011...

On paper, who would have thought the best laughs this midseason come from a drug addict in rehab and a woman who may be dying from cancer? Showtime knows what makes us laugh...

Tonight, the surviving Top 8 take on the music of the 1980s – with Gwen Stefani as one of the guest mentors. No Doubt, she will display a strong connection to both the music and the contestants.

SERIES PREMIERE_ After the special sneak preview, here comes this series itself – in which Betty White plays ringleader to a band of geriatric pranksters. Will this NBC series be a worthy successor to the likes of Candid Camera? Don't know yet. More to the point: What do the playful schemers on this show have that the ones on, say, the new incarnation of MTV’s Punk’d do not? Depends.

Among the stories featured tonight is a Kate Snow profile of Jin Xing, a celebrated Chinese ballerina who has become a cultural icon and a national celebrity over the past 17 years. What makes this such a singular story, especially from China, is that she used to be a he – and came out, long ago, as the first person in China to admit publicly to a sex-change operation.

Forget the early blooms, unseasonably warm days and chirping birds of April. For me, the first reliable sign that spring and summer are on the way, and the long winter season is over, is the first prime-time telecast of Jaws. And here it is, with more iconic scenes than in a dozen other blockbuster movies. As Quint toasts at one point: “Here’s to swimmin’ with bow-legged women…”
