On Sunday, CNN presents another new installment of its new documentary series The 2000s, this time focusing on that decade’s financial crisis (remember that?). Tonight, though, CNN repeats the opener of The 2000s, in which I’m pleased to say I appear, and even more pleased to report that I seem to have inspired the episode’s title. If you missed this two-hour look at TV in The 2000s, which includes detailed appreciations of everything from Oz and The Larry Sanders Show to The W

SERIES FINALE: If you’ve been watching Quantico for the past three seasons (I gave up after Season 1, despite the talent and beauty of star Priyanka Chopra), tonight’s your last chance. The ABC spy series winds it up tonight.

This series devoted an episode to biscuits and traybakes in Season 2, and now it’s covering the same theme, and similar challenges, in Season 5. Isn’t that a little… crumby?  Check local listings.

Bill Maher’s guests tonight include two people who are very familiar to MSNBC viewers as very outspoken guests: counterterrorism Malcolm Nance and (pictured) former Republican political campaign strategist (and former Republican, period) Steve Schmidt.

It’s the Hall of Fame game, between the Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens. So there you are, if you’re interested – or missing football. And since it’s broadcast by NBC, it’s presented under the Sunday Night Football banner, although that’s clearly an example of Fake News. Or, at least, Fake Sports.

This is not a recommendation. This is Season 20 of Big Brother, which is noteworthy in itself – noteworthy in a depressing way, because I loathe this show. But it’s also noteworthy because this season’s host, the same person who hosted all 19 previous incarnations of Big Brother, is Julie Chen. She got the job chiefly because of her husband, CBS top executive Les Moonves, who has been in the news of late for other reasons entirely – but Chen released a statement standing

DOCUMENTARY MINISERIES PREMIERE: This three-part nature documentary from PBS looks at Australia, but tonight focuses on a particular, relatively desolate corner of Australia. It’s the Kimberley region, the northwest portion of the continent. From its rugged coastline to its even more rugged interior, this examination is loaded with facts, and sights and animals, that may well surprise you. Check local listings.
