The filmed bits and sketches still outshine the ones performed in front of a studio audience, and that’s a ratio that has to be overturned for Maya & Marty to be a true variety show, much less a successful one. So here’s hoping, as we get another first-run episode tonight. In addition, many of the Broadway artists who recorded What the World Needs Now, to help The Center in Orlando, will perform it on the show tonight.
