After tabulating our TV WORTH WATCHING predictions from both our readers and our writers, two people correctly guessed four out of the six major categories and emerged with bragging rights. One was TVWW reader Nathan. The other was (and don't you forget it, you other 14 writers on this site) yours truly...

Anomaly alert: Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET on PBS, a network will broadcast a competition during which no devious alliances were formed, no overstuffed mogul fired anyone and -- though music is center-spotlight -- there was no connection whatesover to Simon Cowell. No weigh-ins; no texting of votes; no mile-high performance pastries...

Jimmy Fallon proved to be an OK -- but not A-OK -- host of Sunday night's 62nd annual Emmys ceremony, which pitted the traditional NBC telecast against a companion live backstage webcast on nbc.com and other outlets. Neither presentation held up for the entire night. Nor did the Big Four broadcast networks, which this time were beaten in the overall hardware haul not only by HBO, but by AMC...

Only in TV can bringing an award show in at three hours be considered a major accomplishment. The 62nd Annual Emmy Awards telecast last night ended on time. And Jimmy Fallon, a talented guy and a capable host, was sometimes better than his actual material. But there was plenty more left to discuss around the water cooler...

About twenty seconds into last night's 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards on NBC, I was dreading that it was going to be a long night. Twenty seconds later, I was on the edge of my seat laughing. And so I remained for the rest of the hilarious and energetic opening number, which seemed to validate what I've said for years...

The Emmys for 2010 are over. They began brilliantly -- with an homage to Glee in a hilarious ensemble number, with Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Jane Lynch, Jorge Garcia, Tim Gunn and my hero, Joel McHale. Then came some surprise wins (Jim Parsons, CBS's The Big Bang Theory), and the inevitable, endless list of Thank You's to people we really have no idea who they are...

What got into the Emmy Awards this year? The three-hour telecast was actually fast-moving and entertaining! In terms of award-giving there wasn't a misfire all night. Even the host exceeded all expectations, pumping the show full of infectious energy right from the top and keeping at it throughout...

The wealth was spread among many deserving Emmy winners in Monday's prime-time NBC telecast. Modern Family, Glee, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Dexter got more than one award. But by far the biggest winner, with five awards in all, was HBO's Temple Grandin. And deservedly so: When it premiered, I praised it as the best telemovie in years...

The 62nd Annual Prime-Time Emmy Awards, with host Jimmy Fallon, will be televised on NBC Sunday night at 8 ET. Until then, it's anybody's guess who will win in the major categories -- so we here at TV WORTH WATCHING thought it would be fun to have anybody guess. We'll start with some of our correspondents, who are fighting for bragging rights. Then we'll open it up to you, for your OWN bragging rights, plus some tacky TV prize to be named later...

Nothing sucks the excitement out of the Emmys faster than for the same show (or performer) to win year after year after year, but there's no getting past the fact that AMC's endlessly engaging period piece is among that handful of shows in the history of the medium that simply gets better with age...
