The PBS series Frontline already has done three programs this season on the rise of Donald Trump to President of the United States. Tonight, a Showtime documentary recap, from the team behind The Circus, presents a sort of stand-alone sequel, covering the election night and week itself, while looking back to memorable moments from past TV appearances and headlines featuring Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Every once in a while, Jerry Seinfeld stretches the definition of Comedians in his streaming series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, to be more inclusive. Of course, he occasionally does the same with Cars, and Coffee, but why complain? The results always are entertaining – as with this week’s visit with actor Christoph Waltz, who can be very funny as an actor, even in dramas. And on purpose. Here, he’s funny as Seinfeld takes him to, among other places, an IHOP.

This week, James Lipton’s guest on this new edition is Cuba Gooding Jr. – and Lipton may not note this, but I will, that Gooding, who became a star in the 1996 Cameron Crowe movie Jerry Maguire, has had a career resurgence of late because of television. And, in particular, because of TV auteur Ryan Murphy: Gooding has starred in the most recent iteration of  Murphy’s American Horror Story for FX, and, also for Murphy and FX, has starred as O.J. Simpson in the 2016 American

This is episode two of Riverdale – a very strange rebooting of the characters and relationships from the Archie comics series. This series has had a free hand in presenting revisionist Riverdale history, making this show an odd cross between Twin Peaks and Dawson’s Creek. And tonight, we get to hear “Sugar, Sugar,” the sticky-sweet vintage pop hit recorded  in 1969 by a group named The Archies – a group that didn’t exist. Yet it became a Number One hit th
