Fargo, the FX crime anthology series inspired by the Coen Brothers’ movie, did a wonderful job its first season of capturing and carrying on the spirit of that film – and did an even better job the second season. That makes it a fine time to revisit the original article, especially since this movie, believe it or not, is now 20 years old. Frances McDormand, William H. Macy star.

The second night of TCM’s salute to Jerry Lewis, keyed to his 90th birthday, shows some of his films that he made after his period as Dean Martin’s performing partner. The evening starts at 8 p.m. ET with one of his most acclaimed comedy movies, 1960’s The Bellboy – but stay tuned for the evening’s true treat, a 10 p.m. ET showing of Martin Scorsese’s 1983 film, The King of Comedy (pictured), in which Lewis plays a TV talk host kidnapped by an unhinged fan, pl

SEASON PREMIERE: When this series began four seasons ago, there wasn’t much thought given – at least not by me – to what might happen to the Jennings children down the road. But the road has led us here, and now, while parents Elizabeth and Philip (Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys) continue to carry out dangerous missions as deep-cover Soviet spies posing as American parents in Virginia, the most danger they’re facing this year is from their now-15-year-old daughter Paige (Holl

Last week’s series premiere drew a lot of attention and viewers, especially for the generally off-the-radar WGN America network. Those viewers are likely to return for episode two, which furthers the story of slaves and abolitionists thinking about, traveling on, or helping with the Underground Railroad. And in this week’s episode, one slave makes the crucial connection between a spiritual’s lyrics and a symbolic map to freedom.

Last night’s combination audition round and battle round was a smart move by The Voice, for two reasons. First, it elongated the audition round process, the best part of this series. Second, the battle rounds have coalesced into something more positive: complementary duets rather than undercutting dual solos. Last night’s highlight was the battle in which Bryan Bautista and Malik Heard teamed, rather than battled, on “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World&rdquo

Tonight and tomorrow, TCM celebrates Jerry Lewis’ 90th birthday by showing prime-time marathons of his films. That’s not a surprise – TCM does that sort of thing all the time. What’s surprising is that, tonight and tomorrow, Lewis himself is on hand to preside over, and comment upon, the films. Tonight focuses on some of the movies made with Dean Martin, starting at 8 p.m. ET with 1952’s The Stooge, followed at 10 ET by 1953’s The Caddy. But stay up late, or s

Last week’s midseason premiere was more complicated than satisfying, but did set up the upcoming war between the heroes and the inhumans – and teasing, with the promo for tonight’s episode, not only the new powers of an old adversary, but the introduction of even more strange adversaries with equally strange powers. Once we get the scorecard, we can finally get down to the actual chess match.

This is a rerun, but one that shows off the fast-developing chemistry between Rob Lowe and Fred Savage as brothers Dean and Stewart. In this episode, the brothers take to the road, where Dean tries to outdistance his celebrity past – except when it comes in handy, after being stopped for speeding.
