The Golden State Warriors, with home-court advantage, handled the Cleveland Cavaliers rather easily in Game 1, winning 104-89, and will have the same home-court advantage for tonight’s Game 2. But the Cavs have pledged to pick up their pace of play, which may provide an answer for the Warriors’ defensive sets – but what about the Warriors’ productive, impressive bench strength, which accounted for 45 points to the Cavs’ 10?

They don’t make costume dramas like this any more – because no one has the money, and because what was accomplished then with massive sets and thousands of extras is accomplished today by post-production CGI effects. But in this 1963 epic, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Rex Harrison were indeed masters of their domain, and quite a domain it was.

We began the season worrying about whether Jon Snow was really dead, and now we get to an episode, with a giant battle imminent, where we get to wonder if he’ll live (or relive) much longer. My guess is yes. But enough of the major characters are getting into major conflicts right now that the odds are good that something bad is about to happen to someone.

This series has split into five different shows this year: the ongoing experiments of Drs. Frankenstein and Jekyll (pictured), the depravity of Oscar Wilde and one of Frankenstein’s creations, the search for his past by another of Frankenstein’s creations, the encroaching claim by Dracula upon the mentally tortured Vanessa Ives, and the odd gothic Western featuring Ethan as a werewolf on the run in the old West. And amazingly, all five plots work really well, and get their turns in t

Tonight’s episode features a presidential cocktail party, right on the heels of the riotously deadpan climax last week when Selina’s daughter introduced her mother to her new lover (pictured): Selina’s dour-faced female bodyguard. Now the press wants information about the President’s daughter’s new “condition,” a term that rankles Selina, who complains, “She’s a lesbian, not a werewolf.”

The central question with AMC’s new Feed the Beast may be whether exquisite images of upscale food are enough to balance a dark story that seems to have almost no path to a happy ending...

This is the cable premiere of the 2015 Matt Damon movie about an astronaut stranded on Mars, a film that somehow won a Golden Globe Award for best comedy, even though it’s basically a drama.

Three Roy Scheider movies are shown tonight by TCM – but his best two, Jaws and All That Jazz, are not among them. (Jaws, however, is shown tonight at 6 p.m. ET on AMC.) However, the film that starts tonight’s mini-marathon, 1971’s The French Connection, is indeed a classic. Tune in for the car chase – stay for the acting, especially by Gene Hackman and Scheider as a determined detective and his sidekick.
