SERIES PREMIERE: The premiere installment of this new Fox show (on NBC, but you know what I meant) isn’t quite up to the standards of excellence I was hoping for, given Fox’s brilliant comedic work in Family Ties and Spin City. But there’s a fine ensemble here (Breaking Bad’s Betsy Brandt, as his wife, is an especially shrewd bit of casting), and there’s nothing at all wrong with Fox.
