This series returned with a new episode last week, on a new night, with so little advance notice and promotion that it slipped by me entirely. Not this time. The Graham Norton Show, still my favorite current talk show, is now shown on BBC America on Monday nights, so adjust your DVRs and viewing schedules accordingly. Tonight’s guests include Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Zeta Jones and (no relation – I think) Toby Jones.

SERIES RETURN: The final season of this sci-fi series picks up for its second and final half, with Bo fighting an ancient evil, with the usual world as we know it in the balance. The terrain is familiar, but the characters on this show are unusually feisty – starting with the protagonist Bo. Did I mention she’s a succubus?

Tonight the A&E Networks continue with their miniseries version of War & Peace – but if you’re in the mood for an actual epic costume drama, go here instead. SPECIAL: NBC is the network that revived the concept of live TV musical specials, with The Sound of Music and others, but it’s the Fox network that may solidify the trend. At the end of the year, it’s presenting a live telecast of The Rocky Horror Show, starring transgender Orange Is the New Black actress Laverne Cox. And tonight, Fox presents a revised stage version of one of the most durable musicals of the past two generations: Grease, starring Julianne Hough as Sandy (pictured),

This documentary series launched itself at the perfect time, as each week leading up to tomorrow’s Iowa caucus seems to have been more momentous, and more unpredictable. And now, we’re on the brink of the first votes cast in the race for the 2016 presidential nominees – with The Circus covering, among other things, the Donald Trump-less Republican debate.
