It’s show number four from “Hollywood week,” which has been spread over two weeks of TV. If Idol keeps going, and keeps stretching, perhaps soon it’ll be known as “Hollywood month.” But if you want to develop a serious rooting interest for any of the hopefuls in particular, this is the place to begin.

Tied to Valentine’s Day, Spurlock goes on a mission to check out the efficacy of such online dating apps as OK Cupid, Three Day Rule, and Grindr (I’m citing from a press release, not personal experience). These are the sorts of stories you get to do for CNN when you serve not only as on-camera host, but your own assignment editor.

Here’s a guest appearance by someone who doesn’t appear on TV very often – in fact, hardly ever. Portraying himself in tonight’s installment is Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, who shows up to protest the illegal Bart Simpson merchandise being made by Spyke (Fred Armisen). Basically, Groening has a cow, man.

This is Episode 3 of Fortitude – just to remind you that the plot of this set-in-the-frozen-wasteland mystery series continues to heat up. Stanley Tucci stars.

To date, TV Worth Watching has actively backed only one Kickstarter campaign – LeVar Burton’s Reading Rainbow revival. Now there’s another: a long-simmering documentary on Kurt Vonnegut…

Hollywood Week began last week on Idol, and continues this week – which begs the question, how long is a week on the West Coast, anyway? But this is where Idol, traditionally, starts to get dramatic as well as interesting, as the dreams of dozens and dozens of wannabe superstars get dashed in seconds, while others get to ride their euphoria to the next round.

Tonight’s episode brings on the guest stars. One is former music star Courtney Love (pictured), playing a former music star signed for a possible comeback. The other, playing a mystery woman from the past, is played by Raven-Symone – whose past includes playing the littlest kid added to the cast of The Cosby Show.

The women in this “all-American” family are at the center of tonight’s episode. Mom Elizabeth (Keri Russell) is targeted by the FBI, which is closing in on her without yet knowing her true identity – while daughter Paige (Holly Taylor, pictured), also is targeted, but by the KGB, which is pressuring even harder for her parents to recruit the 14-year-old girl into the sleeper-spy fold.

SERIES PREMIERE: SCTV vets Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy reteam for TV in this new comedy series from the recently renamed and launched Pop network, in a sitcom co-created by Levy and his son, Dan Levy. The three of them, along with Annie Murphy as daughter Alexis, play a wealthy family who suddenly loses its fortune and moves to a small town the father once bought as a joke, because of its Schitt’s Creek name. Once they get to the town, they encounter the mayor, played by Chris E

Tonight’s episode has Jay Baruschel’s Josh, for the first time, having a girlfriend again – and a beautiful one, played by guest star Minka Kelly from Friday Night Lights. What’s the catch? Well, just in time for Valentine’s Day, it turns out to be explained by Cupid’s arrow – one that was intentionally misfired as an experiment in mismatched “love.”
