Tonight’s episode is called “Killer Queen,” and has Liv (Rose McIver) absorbing the brains and personality of a murdered drag queen. Makeup and wardrobe are appropriately fabulous.

Great Odin's raven! This past weekend, mere days after Game of Thrones was shut out of this year's Television Critics Association nominations, a prominent UK reviewer made a comment regarding another long-running sword 'n' sandals TV fantasy. Vikings, he said, had succumbed to "season-seven Game of Thrones" syndrome...

John Steinbeck’s 1939 novel about a family hit hard by the Dust Bowl and the Depression had been published only one year when director John Ford turned it into this classic film version, starring Henry Fonda as beleaguered everyman Tom Joad. Jane Darwell, as Ma Joad, will get you, even more than Fonda, which is saying a lot.

DOCUMENTARY SPECIAL: Yet another Apollo 11 special arriving as the moon mission hits its golden anniversary – and this one, for PBS, may be golden indeed, for interspersing conversations among the three astronauts with vintage footage of the flight, landing and return, some of it unseen until now. Check local listings.

Okay, let’s get this out of the way right up front. The CW’s new summer series Pandora is filmed in Bulgaria and features spacecraft that look like those old 1950s props where you could almost see the wires...

In this prime-time special, Disney-owned ABC says it’s celebrating the golden anniversary of The Lion King, the animated movie that was a large part of Disney’s cartoon movie resurgence. And, of course, the long-running, still-running Broadway musical it spawned. But also, this special makes quite a point of sneak-peeking and promoting the new photorealistic, computer-generated movie version of The Lion King, which hits theaters Thursday. Tonight’s treats on TCM’s “Out of This World” Tuesdays festival in July are a bunch of moon movies. At 8 p.m. ET, 1950’s Destination Moon starts things off, and other lunar movies are in orbit all night long, up to and including the 5:30 a.m. ET showing of the first sci-fi and moon exploration movie ever made, George Melies’ 1902 silent classic, A Trip to the Moon (pictured). Other moon trips in the lineup tonight include 1958’s

Speaking of lunar exploration, CBS tonight has a one-hour special devoted to the real deal: a look back at Apollo 11, which launched 50 years ago tonight, and succeeded in landing a man on the moon four days later. This special includes lots of vintage coverage, especially that anchored by Walter Cronkite, who basically owned the story on broadcast TV back in 1969.
