SEASON PREMIERE: This series returns for eight final episodes, starting Season 7 with a time jump that’s described in the season opener’s episodic title: “About 3 Years Later.” Jess and Nick (Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson), who finally confessed their love for one another in the previous season finale, are still together – but three years later, they’re returning from a European book tour.

The title of this new Frontline report refers not to President Donald Trump’s takeover of the White House, or of the 24-hour news cycle, or even of Twitter – but of how he joined, tackled, opposed, and conquered the Republican party itself. Season 2 of this Noah Hawley superhero series, perhaps the least obvious and most mercurial comic-based series ever made, is rather astounding. Season 1 was about unreliable characters, and a story told by an unreliable narrator. In Season 2, there are new perspectives everywhere, and almost nothing you see, like no one you encounter, can be trusted, or taken at face value. But I promise this: the images and surprises you’ll encounter on Legion, especially this season, are all but unpreced

The Knockout Rounds, in their new incarnation, have been livened considerably. Not only can rival judges steal the losing (but still worthy and promising) competitor in a knockout duel, but the judge who pitted them against each other in the first place, and even selected the winner of the challenge, nonetheless can issue a new lifeline, a Save, and retain them both. Add to that the fact that former Voice winners are brought in, for the first time, as mentors for this round, and you’ve got

The title of tonight’s new episode, which has Liv (Rose McIver) infiltrating a local theater troupe in Seattle, is called, fittingly, “My Really Fair Lady.” Because of the thespian’s brains and personality she’s absorbed for the moment, Liv approaches the theater, and even a sexual harassment seminar, with a passion. By George, she’s got it…

Tonight’s fourth episode features an attack on the ships that leaves no doubt that the crew is battling some sort of supernatural force while icebound and isolated. And the background of this particular terror, and perhaps a way to combat and survive it, comes from local storytellers, the native Inuits.
